Terms and conditions

The rules for using the Grapsy Light mobile app. The same text is available inside the app.

Last updated: 2026-10-16

Introduction

  • 1.1. These terms and conditions (the "Terms") define the rules for using the Grapsy Light mobile application (the "Application").
  • 1.2. The Application is provided by MKT Grzegorz Liniewicz, with its registered office at Parkowa 59, 05-074 HalinΓ³w, Tax ID 5372503705, REGON 382856854 (the "Operator").
  • 1.3. By using the Application, the user accepts these Terms.

Application scope

  • 2.1. The Application is intended for creating local shopping lists, managing shopping history, and browsing a promotions catalog made available remotely by the Operator. The Application is provided free of charge and remains functional indefinitely. For the first 30 days after the first launch it runs without quantity limits, after which it moves to the free plan with the limits described in point 2.1a. An active Google Play subscription associated with the device and the store account used for the purchase lifts those limits.
  • 2.1a. The free plan's limits are: a maximum of 2 active shopping lists, a maximum of 5 price alerts, promotions from one retail chain per country, and following one country at a time. The limits apply only to creating new items β€” data created earlier remains available, editable, and is not deleted.
  • 2.2. The Application may display local notifications related to promotion alerts configured by the user on their device. An alert may concern a specific product or all products of a given manufacturer. When one alert covers many promotions at once, the Application may present them in a single summary notification.
  • 2.3. The user can limit the content shown in promotion notifications on the lock screen, including hiding product names and prices.
  • 2.4. In its current version, Grapsy Light does not provide account creation, login, cloud sync, lists shared between users (apart from exporting a list to a file, point 2.6), an in-app contact form, advertising, or geolocation-based features.
  • 2.5. The app lets you import recipe ingredients from a photo taken with the camera or picked from the device gallery. The photo is processed entirely on the device (offline text recognition) and is not sent to the Operator. See the Privacy Policy for details.
  • 2.6. The user may export a copy of their data, or a single shopping list, to a file and import it on the same or another device. Importing a copy replaces the data the copy holds: a full copy replaces all data stored in the Application, a partial copy (e.g. shopping lists only) replaces only that part. Importing a single list adds it next to the existing lists and is subject to the limits of the free plan in the same way as creating a new list. Files are created, stored and transferred by the user, without the Operator's involvement.
  • 2.7. The Application may check Google Play for a newer version and offer to download it. The update is downloaded and installed by Google Play only with the user's consent. After an update, the Application may once show a short note about what is new.

Technical requirements

  • 3.1. Using the Application requires a compatible mobile device and an operating system version supported by the released build.
  • 3.2. An Internet connection is required to download the promotions catalog, verify the Google Play subscription state, check Google Play for available updates, and access other remotely published informational content.
  • 3.3. Enabling promotion notifications may require granting the system permission for notifications.

Rules of use

  • 4.1. The user must use the Application in compliance with the law, these Terms, and the intended purpose of the Application.
  • 4.2. The user must not attempt to interfere with the security of the Application, bypass its protections, or use it in a way that disrupts the Operator's services.
  • 4.3. Promotion information is provided for convenience only. Final purchase terms, product availability, and in-store pricing depend on the retailer's current offer.
  • 4.4. The free 30-day trial begins on the device after the user completes the Application's first-run flow. Starting it does not create a subscription, require a payment method, or cause an automatic charge when it ends.
  • 4.5. The end of the trial does not block access to the Application β€” the Application moves to the free plan described in point 2.1a. The user may voluntarily purchase a subscription through Google Play to lift that plan's limits. Subscription pricing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are determined by Google Play and may vary by country, currency, and current store offer.

Data and privacy

  • 5.1. Grapsy Light does not require a user account.
  • 5.2. Shopping lists, completed-list history, saved promotion alerts, part of the Application settings, and the trial start and end dates are stored locally on the user's device.
  • 5.3. Clearing application data, uninstalling the Application, or resetting the device may result in the loss of locally stored data, including the local trial record.
  • 5.4. The promotions catalog is downloaded from the Operator's network infrastructure or its technical providers. As part of that communication, minimal technical data may be processed as necessary to deliver content and maintain service security and reliability.
  • 5.5. Paid access to the Application is sold through Google Play. Technical and transaction-related data required for payments and subscription renewals may be processed by Google Play in accordance with that provider's policies. The local trial is not transmitted to Google Play.
  • 5.6. In its current scope, the Application does not use advertising identifiers, an ads SDK, user geolocation, account-based cloud sync, features for sharing lists between users (exporting a list to a file, described in point 2.6, is done by the user), or an in-app message form to contact the Operator. The Application does not load fonts or other resources from external servers at runtime - all fonts are bundled locally.
  • 5.7. Promotion notifications are local in nature and are triggered by settings saved by the user on the device.
  • 5.8. In the current default configuration, promotion details can be hidden on the lock screen, and the full notification content depends on the privacy setting chosen by the user.

External services

  • 6.1. The Application uses external services only to the extent necessary to provide the promotions catalog, verify Google Play subscriptions, check Google Play for updates of the Application, show Google Play's rating card or open the Application's page in Google Play, and support the underlying technical infrastructure.
  • 6.2. The Operator may change technical service providers as long as this does not materially change the Application's functional scope or the level of data processing described in these Terms.

Intellectual property

  • 7.1. All rights to the Application, its source code, visual assets, Operator-owned content, and trademarks belong to the Operator or the respective rights holders.
  • 7.2. The user receives a non-exclusive, revocable, and non-transferable license to use the Application for its intended purpose.

Liability

  • 8.1. The Application is provided on an "as is" basis to the extent permitted by applicable law.
  • 8.2. The Operator does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of all promotion content and is not responsible for changes to third-party commercial offers.
  • 8.3. The Operator is not liable for damage resulting from improper use of the Application, incompatibility of the user's device with technical requirements, or the unavailability of services operated by third parties.

Changes to the Terms

  • 9.1. The Operator may update these Terms if required due to changes in the Application's functionality, changes in law, or changes in how the services are provided.
  • 9.2. Users will be informed about material changes through an in-app notice or another appropriate communication channel.

Governing law and complaints

  • 10.1. These Terms are governed by Polish law.
  • 10.2. Complaints or questions regarding the Application or these Terms may be sent to: office@grapsy.app.
  • 10.3. If no amicable resolution is reached, disputes will be resolved by the court having jurisdiction over the Operator's registered office, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

Right of withdrawal

  • 11.1. Consumers have the right to withdraw from a contract for the supply of digital content or a digital service within 14 days without giving a reason, under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) as implemented in the consumer's country of residence.
  • 11.2. Because the subscription grants immediate access to the full functionality of the Application, before the service starts the user is asked to expressly consent to immediate performance and to acknowledge the resulting loss of the right of withdrawal. Once that consent has been given and the service has started, the right of withdrawal lapses, consistent with Article 16(m) of the Directive.
  • 11.3. The free trial managed by the Application does not create a paid subscription and ends automatically without charging the user. A subscription begins only after the user expressly orders and confirms it in the Google Play interface.
  • 11.4. Nothing in this section limits any consumer rights arising from mandatory law.
